Megan is everything a Labrador should be, both in type and temperament! She has been so easy to train and loves to please. At 8 months old, she passed the Gundog Club Grade One Retriever test (scoring 86 out of 90 marks) giving her a Distinction and she then went on to pass the KC Good Citizen dog scheme Bronze, Silver and Gold levels by 18 months of age. Megan has been shown lightly and has taken some good results at Open and Champ shows but we stopped showing her as she didn't like the slippery floors and occasionally would refuse to even enter a sports hall for a show! She has been a Pets as Therapy dog and she has picked up on various shoots for six years and comes alive on shoot days. In her younger days, she was like a greyhound on runners and always found wounded game. She has now retired from regular picking up, due to arthritis but she still does the occasional half day picking up. She has been awarded the KC Working gundog certificate on game after being assessed working on a shoot day at the Cold Aston shoot. Megan has had 3 lovely litters and has passed on many of her qualities to her offspring and we have her daughter Ebony here. Megan sadly passed away from a stroke in 2021 but she lives on in her offspring and Grandchildren.
